Welcome Newcomers!
Greetings dear friends in Christ.
Welcome to the Cathedral Church of the Nativity. We serve as the cathedral of the Episcopal Diocese of Bethlehem, while at the same time we are a large, vibrant and increasingly diverse parish church. We have some 1000 members who have found a spiritual home and community here at Nativity, coming from all over the Lehigh Valley. You will find a wide range of ministries and programs for all ages and interests to assist you in your own spiritual pilgrimage and discipleship.
We strive for excellence in our liturgy, music and preaching ministries. Our choir and organist have an international concert ministry and provide leadership in the musical life of the Bethlehem area. There are wonderful programs for children and youth and for adults, too, to deepen faith, provide opportunities for fellowship and fun, and to minister to those in need, both locally and across the world.
Nativity has a long and venerable history, providing leadership in Bethlehem, the greater Lehigh Valley and in the Diocese of Bethlehem. In the last few years we have made ministry to the Southside of Bethlehem and all who reside and work in this neighborhood a very high priority.
We look forward eagerly to your participation in the life and ministry of Nativity as we work to be faithful stewards of the rich resources placed in our care. Please contact any of the cathedral staff to explore ways that we can assist you and help you to feel welcome.
I hope that as you spend time delving into this website, you will find a welcome place in our midst.
Faithfully yours,
The Very Rev. Anthony Pompa
Dean and Rector
