Adult Christian
Formation
Adult Forum
Educational programs designed to help us deepen our understanding
of Christian teachings and beliefs are offered throughout the year.
A Sunday Forum for adults is held in Sayre Hall from 9:00 AM to 10:00
AM Education Hour from September to May. Dates, times, and subject
matter for all programs are announced in the Parish Visitor and in
the weekly News and Information bulletin insert. Childcare is available
for most programs held during the week for those who request it in
advance of the programs. Adult Christian Formation programs are under
the direction of the Cathedral’s Canon for Christian Formation.
Education for Ministry (EFM)
Education for Ministry (EFM) is a program of theological education-at-adistance
of the School of Theology of the University of the South. It covers
the basics of a theological education in the Old and New Testaments,
church history, liturgy, and theology. This college level course is
intended to provide lay people in the church with a theological education
to support their faith and help them express that faith in daily life.
Through study, prayer and reflection, EFM groups move toward a new
understanding of the fullness of God’s kingdom. Classes will
begin on Wednesday, September 8 from 9:30am—Noon . Please speak
to Canon Anne Kitch if you are interested in participating.
