Mindfulness Meditation

A Mindfulness Meditation Group is for any individuals that are interested in learning Mindfulness Meditation and to practice it with other interested individuals. A meeting is made up of several parts: Sitting Guided Meditation; Walking Meditation; and Sitting Silent Meditation.

Mindfulness is a skill that can be learned. One of the mediation techniques is Mindfulness of Breathing. The technique is to simple bring one’s attention to the experience of breathing in and breathing out. We breath in a normal manner and observe the whole in-breath and the whole out-breath. Whenever a distraction occurs and we notice it, we gently bring our attention back to our breath.

Facilitator: Kevin Siddons, Ed.D. has a B.A. in psychology and an Ed.D. in Health Education.  Kevin been practicing meditation since 1974, and practicing Thich Nhat Hanh’s Mindfulness Meditation for the last 8 years. In 2015 he became an ordained member of the Plum Village Order of Interbeing.

Group Spiritual Direction for Moms

For moms: Please join for an opportunity to gather each month to ‘listen to each other’ from that sacred inner space where we are free to ‘just show up’ and honestly name ‘how it is with our soul’. Punctuated by times of silence, our time together will offer a place where moms can ‘tend their own spiritual well-being’ and be on the receiving end, vs being on the ‘giving side’.

Facilitator: Marcella Kraybill-Greggo is a mom, a spiritual director, and a member of The Cathedral Church of Nativity. Marcella co-directs the Spiritual Direction Graduate Certificate Program at Moravian Seminary, while also serving as Clinical Director for Moravian’s MA in Clinical Counseling.

Interplay is easy, fun, and gentle movement.  It is based in a series of incremental “forms” that lead participants into gentle movement and stories, silence and song, ease and amusement.  In the process, we discover the wisdom in ourselves and our communities.  No experience necessary…all levels invited!
