The Rev. Dale Grandfield Called as Canon Missioner of Cathedral  Dale

The Rev. Dale Grandfield has been called to serve as Canon Missioner at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity. Grandfield’s first Sunday at the Cathedral will be August 4, 2019.

The position was created as part of the Cathedral’s Campus Plan visioning work to help engage in new mission on the SouthSide of Bethlehem, especially with youth and families.

“I am excited about Dale coming among us,” said the Very Rev. Tony Pompa, Dean of the Cathedral. “You will find in Dale a person of integrity and high energy who will value the liturgical, pastoral, and fellowship life of this community, and invite us to new relationships with our neighbors.”

A native of Allentown, Grandfield graduated with a Masters in Divinity from the School of Theology at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. He had previously served as Assistant Rector at St. Paul’s, Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

“I am grateful and honored that the Cathedral has called me to be its Canon Missioner,” said Grandfield. “I cannot wait to see how we’ll get to know the Risen Lord by being with people all over SouthSide, gleaning from them how we can be a community of justice, hope, faith, and love.”
