Adult Program:
Sacred Journey/Sacred Story

This journey will begin with the presence of our consultant for the Vision Process at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity. We begin by tracing the faith stories of those who have gone before and all of us who live our lives of faith in this place. Using a timeline exercise and "mapping exercises," long-time members and those new to our community of faith will share remembrances of a life of faith. Our journey then continues with an exploration of how faithful people tell their stories of life and faith. Presenters will include Maya Angelou (by electronic medium), Dean Pompa, and the Venerable Richard I. Cluett.

Forgiveness and Freedom:
A Pragmatic Exercise to Spiritual
Freedom

To live a life of a human being is to know the difficulties of enduring betrayal, insensitivity, and rejection. To live a life as a human being is to perhaps have experienced the indignity of verbal or even physical abuse, perhaps discrimination. To live a life as a human being is to have been wronged and to have wronged, to experience the pain that comes from relationships strained. Forgiveness is at the center of Jesus teaching about a faithful life. Why should we forgive? Even if I wanted to forgive how do I do it? How do I find the path through the pain to a place of forgiveness? This five week series will be focused on a process for forgiveness and use both presentation and discussion.
