Children and Youth
Children in Worship
Children are always welcome in all our worship services at the Cathedral. Families will find a "soft space" in our sanctuary designed especially for small children as well as coloring books and other kid friendly worship aides. Childcare and children's chapel are available during the 10:45 AM service for children under 12 years old.
9 AM Family Service
At this service, you’ll experience hymns accompanied by piano, a short reflection on scripture, Holy Communion, and a contemporary/relaxed feel. Children are welcome at all services, but our 9 AM Eucharist is designed specifically for families with young children. Childcare provided.
Sunday School for Kids
Christian formation for kids is offered all throughout the year (except in June) on Sundays at 9:45 AM for children Pre-K through 12th grade. In Sunday school, children and youth learn the foundational stories of the bible and how to pray and worship. But most importantly, they learned that they are deeply and unconditionally loved by the God who created them, redeems them, and sustains them.

All our Sunday school teachers and workers undergo background checks and Safe Church training.
Youth Group
Teens at Nativity enjoy a wide range of opportunities for both fun and faith formation. Confirmation classes are offered for youth turning age 13, youth participate in the liturgy as acolytes, senior high students are invited to go on pilgrimage in the summer, and special outings and events are scheduled throughout the year.
Nativity Youth Camp
The Cathedral Church of the Nativity has had some form of Camp ministry for over 100 years. It began as a choir camp and has been transformed many times in the past century. We do it because it’s a great tradition, and a place where life long friendships have begun.
