About the Event
Fr. Alexander Brown is the Parochial Vicar at St. Anne's RCC in Bethlehem. He will be presenting a talk on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien based on his Masters thesis for his seminary studies, which was entitled "In the Beginning was Illúvatar: Scriptural and Theological Imagery in the Silmarillion." It will unpack Tolkien's understanding of the faith through the lens of his legendarium, and serve as an overview of that research as well as practical implications for how we may better live the Christian life because of Tolkien.
